The Cách Linh Festival is a traditional cultural event associated with the temple of General Trần Duy Trân – a general who made significant contributions to the defense of his homeland. The festival holds profound significance in educating about the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," expressing gratitude to ancestors, and conveying hopes for a year of favorable weather, abundant harvests, and a more prosperous and happy life for the people.
The ceremony was held solemnly with activities such as offering incense at the shrine of the Earth God and the temple of General Tran Duy Tran. The rituals were meticulously prepared, demonstrating the reverence of the local Party committee, government, and people towards the ancestors who contributed to building and defending the nation.
Immediately following the ceremonial part, the festival unfolded with a vibrant array of activities, creating a joyful and unifying atmosphere within the community. A diverse range of cultural, sporting , and folk games were organized, including dragon dances, lion dances, culinary competitions, traditional sewing contests, cultural exchanges, chess, tug-of-war, throwing the ball, grass-pulling, and volleyball, attracting large numbers of locals and tourists to participate and cheer. In particular, performances of traditional folk songs such as Then, Sli, and Luon contributed to honoring, preserving, and spreading the unique cultural identity of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups in the area.
On the evening of the same day, a spectacular art program was held with the participation of the Cao Bang Provincial Art Troupe, the Be Van Dan Commune Folk Art Team, and folk dance clubs and groups from Phuc Hoa and Quang Uyen communes.
