On May 24th, Ninh Binh province officially opened the 2026 Tam Coc - Trang An Golden Festival. The festival aims to pay tribute to the God of Agriculture – the founder of agricultural civilization and protector of nature. The annual festival takes place in the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area (Ninh Binh), and includes a grand procession of agricultural products and medicinal plants from 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

The procession of boats carries produce from 34 provinces and cities as offerings to the God of Agriculture.

The boats departed from Tam Coc wharf, sailing down the Ngo Dong river to the temple of the God of Agriculture to offer local produce.

The offerings, ranging from rice grains and fruits to medicinal plants used to save lives, are presented to the God of Agriculture, thereby expressing gratitude to ancestors, honoring forefathers, strengthening the connection between different regions of the country, fostering national unity, and aspiring to preserve Vietnam's agricultural civilization.

During the boat trip to the Temple of the God of Agriculture, the festival organizers arranged various locations for artistic performances such as Xam singing, Cheo singing, and performances of traditional musical instruments.

Following the Ngo Dong River, visitors can also admire the artistic painting in the rice field depicting "Two horses bowing to report achievements."

The golden hues of Tam Coc, with the golden backdrop of ripening rice fields as its main theme, have for many years become a popular tourist attraction in Ninh Binh province. The Tam Coc - Trang An Golden Festival takes place over 10 days at the end of May and beginning of June, the time when the rice ripens.
