On the morning of December 15, at the central flower garden of Cao Bang city, the Steering Committee for Crime Prevention, Social Evils and Building a Movement for the Whole People to Protect National Security of the Province (Steering Committee 138) held a ceremony to launch the campaign to carry out a peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes, ensuring security and order before, during and after the Lunar New Year, towards ensuring security and safety for the Party Congresses at all levels in the province in 2025. Attending were comrade Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 138; Colonel Vu Hong Quang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee 138; leaders of departments, branches, localities and more than 300 police officers, militiamen, civil servants, cadres, workers, civil servants, laborers, union members and youth.

The peak campaign to attack, suppress crime, ensure security and order for the Lunar New Year At Ty, towards ensuring security and safety for Party Congresses at all levels in the province takes place from December 15, 2024 to February 15, 2025. The police force focuses on seriously and effectively implementing a number of key tasks in the field of ensuring political security; ensuring security and order for political, economic, tourism, sports and cultural events taking place in the area, activities to celebrate Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year At Ty 2025; strengthening measures to prevent, stop and fight all types of crimes; strictly complying with legal provisions on receiving and handling crime reports and denunciations, recommendations for prosecution, arrest, detention, investigation, prosecution and trial. Strive to achieve the target of investigating and solving criminal cases of over 90%, very serious and especially serious cases of 95% or more. Proactively prevent, detect and handle acts of smuggling, trading, illegal transportation of weapons, support tools, trading, transporting prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin across borders, border gates and inland; check and ensure food hygiene and safety of items serving the Lunar New Year; step up patrolling, controlling and handling violations of traffic order and safety, especially drivers violating alcohol concentration, drugs, speeding, overloading, violations in passenger transport, transport of goods; prevent traffic jams, illegal racing; mobilize forces to restore urban order on key routes and public areas in the area, ensure environmental sanitation, keep the area green, clean, beautiful and safe during the Lunar New Year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 138 requested: Departments, branches, and localities to proactively grasp the internal political security situation, information and communication security, network security, and social security; actively prepare conditions for the successful organization of Party congresses at all levels, towards the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress. Determine the motto of "taking prevention as the most important", perform well the state management function; proactively review, inspect, promptly detect and overcome loopholes and shortcomings, not allowing loopholes for criminals and law violators to take advantage of their activities, causing loss of State assets, affecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people. The Public Security Forces at all levels play a core role in implementing measures to grasp, analyze, evaluate, and forecast the situation, promptly advise and propose to the Party Committees, People's Councils, and People's Committees at the same level solutions to protect national security, ensure social order and safety; strengthen patrols, control, ensure traffic order and safety, public order, fire prevention, firefighting, rescue and relief; strictly handle acts of illegal buying, selling, transporting, storing, and using of firecrackers, and limit the illegal setting off of firecrackers during the Lunar New Year. In particular, in the city, it is necessary to pay close attention and resolutely fight against crimes and social evils and build a movement for the entire people to protect national security, and absolutely protect the safety of Party congresses at all levels taking place in the area.
