Accordingly, the whole district has more than 58 hectares of rice fields, more than 500 hectares of summer-autumn rice, 50 hectares of winter-spring rice, 130 hectares of regenerated rice and more than 5.5 hectares of lotus that were partially flooded. Heavy rain also caused flooding, temporarily cutting off roads to Bach Dan, Tan Ly and Xa Khia villages (Lam Thuy commune).
Currently, winter-spring rice in Le Thuy district has 534 hectares not harvested (Hong Thuy commune 473 hectares, Hoa Thuy commune 59 hectares, An Thuy commune 2 hectares); summer-autumn rice has been sown on 1,700 hectares and the aquaculture area is 2,237 hectares. Currently, the reservoirs in the district have reached about 65% of the designed capacity.
