Accordingly, the first match of the Vietnam national team at home will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi). The remaining two matches of the Vietnam national team at home are against the Indonesia national team on March 26, 2024, and against the Philippines on June 6, 2024.

On November 16, 2023, the Vietnam national football team will play the opening match of the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup, facing the Philippines at Rizal Memorial Stadium (Manila, Philippines). This match and the away matches of the Vietnam national football team including against Indonesia on March 21, 2024, against Iraq on June 11, 2024, currently have no unit owning the copyright to broadcast live in Vietnam.
In the second qualifying round of the Asian region, 36 teams are divided into 9 groups (4 teams each), playing a round-robin format of home and away matches, with ranking points. At the end of the second round, the first and second teams in each group will qualify for the third qualifying round (a total of 18 teams) and directly qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup finals.
