Cooperative Alliance must build effective cooperative models.

On the afternoon of May 5, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Van Thieu, Head of the Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of Collective Economy (KTTT) and Cooperatives (HTX) chaired a conference to review and evaluate the results of the implementation of the KTTT and Cooperative development tasks in 2022 and deploy tasks in 2023.

In 2022, the Provincial Cooperative Union actively implemented the resolutions and conclusions of the province and the Central Government on the development of collective economy and cooperatives and had positive changes. By the end of 2022, the whole province had 215 cooperatives, 515 cooperative groups, 2 cooperative unions... The average revenue of cooperatives in 2022 reached 1,720 million VND, reaching 114.7% compared to the 2022 plan. The total number of regular employees in cooperatives in the province is 5,674 people.

In the province, there are more and more new cooperative models with effective operations, such as: Vinh Cuong Cooperative; Dong Tien Cooperative; Vinh Thanh Cooperative (Hoa Binh district), Quyet Tien Cooperative (Phuoc Long district); Ba Dinh Cooperative (Hong Dan district), High-tech shrimp farming cooperative (Dong Hai district), etc., contributing to positively impacting the economy of member households, implementing poverty reduction, building new rural areas, thereby changing the mindset of agricultural production to agricultural economy.

The goal for 2023 is to develop a dynamic and effective market economy, together with the state economy, to become a solid foundation of the provincial economy with many cooperation and association models on the basis of respecting the nature, values and principles of the market economy, attracting more and more farmers, households, individuals and organizations to participate; contributing to improving the income and quality of life of members and households, realizing social progress and equity, ensuring national defense and security, promoting growth and socio-economic development of the province.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of the Cooperative Economy - Pham Van Thieu acknowledged and praised the results that the Cooperative Economy sector has achieved in the past year. Besides the achieved results, there are still many difficulties and shortcomings that need to be considered and resolved in the coming time.

Promoting the results achieved in recent years and setting out tasks for 2023, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, the Provincial Cooperative Union and People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to specify the Program on continuing to innovate, develop and improve the efficiency of collective economy in the new period, the Program to support the development of collective economy and cooperatives in the province for the period 2021 - 2025.

Strengthening the direction and implementation of building effective cooperative models, linking production and product consumption according to the value chain with the aim of creating jobs and increasing income for members. Departments and branches research and propose effective implementation of support policies on land, credit, tax, vocational training, training of cooperative management staff, technology transfer, science and technology, investment promotion, trade, agricultural and industrial promotion and digital transformation;...
