According to VietNamNet on the afternoon of January 30 (December 20), at the construction site of Nguyen Hue flower street for the Year of the Dragon, dozens of workers were busy with their work.

The flower street has been under construction since January 21 and is scheduled to be completed by noon on February 7 (December 28). Currently, the flower street is gradually taking shape, most notably the image of three giant Dragon mascots gradually appearing.

Observing at the grand entrance gate (intersection of Nguyen Hue - Le Loi), the pair of dragon mascots winding around a lotus with the name "Luong long trieu lien" has reached about 70%.

Two Dragon mascots, each with 5 winding body segments along both sides of the flower road, with a length of more than 100m and a head circumference of more than 2m.

The pair of dragons facing the lotus has completed 70% of the work.

According to the design, this pair of dragons will have a mouth holding a pearl 50cm in diameter, simulated with opaque mica, containing a light inside.

Currently, workers are completing the scale installation for the dragon's body, the interwoven parts create a beautiful decorative ceiling.

Meanwhile, at the flower street intersection at Nguyen Hue - Ton Duc Thang, a giant dragon named "Nhat Dai Thang Long" with a total length of 100m, is exposed on the ground with 4 curved sections 5m above the ground, made of steel pipes, steel belts and steel mesh.

Currently, workers are also actively completing this important project.

Workers are constructing the mascot at the gate of Nguyen Hue flower street.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Dragon mascot is designed to be environmentally friendly when more than 90% of the materials used are shaped steel and a system of fan-shaped curtains covering the entire body with fake scales (welcome gate mascot) or a system of LED lights throughout the body to create an effect (dragon gate).

Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Dragon 2024 will have the theme "Spring of love, Tet reunion", stretching over 600m, divided into 3 main segments: "Homeland's origin", "Crossing rivers and seas" and the finale is "Strengthening integration".

Throughout the flower street, the Organizing Committee will integrate impressive large-scale scenes and diverse miniature scenes, promising to create a memorable experience for city residents and visitors during the new spring days.

Nguyen Hue Flower Street on the occasion of the Year of the Dragon will serve the spring travel and sightseeing needs of city residents and tourists from 7:00 p.m. on February 7 (December 28, year of the Cat) to 9:00 p.m. on February 14 (the 5th day of the Year of the Dragon).
