On January 7th, Ms. Tran Thi Minh Thuy (May Lung Doi Farmstay, Huong Tan Commune, Huong Hoa District) happily announced that she was busily decorating her garden with the snake mascot of the Year of the Snake as the central figure. Previously, on January 6th, the snake mascot had been transported to the garden and eagerly awaited by many visitors.

Notably, this snake mascot was also created by artisan Dinh Van Tam, who was very famous many years ago for his tiger, cat, and dragon mascots in Quang Tri and several other provinces and cities nationwide. Ms. Thuy shared that the idea for this mascot had been brewing for over a year, and she then commissioned artisan Dinh Van Tam to create it.

The mascot is approximately 3.5 meters tall and 2.5 meters long. Observations show that "Little Na" (the snake) is gracefully undulating, wearing a hat, with its tongue sticking out and big, pretty eyes – very cute. Placed in the center of a vibrant flower garden, the snake mascot faces the wind farm in Huong Tan commune. "I placed the snake mascot hoping to attract people from within and outside the province to Khe Sanh, a developing tourist destination. I hope to contribute a small part to Quang Tri tourism," said Ms. Minh Thuy.

Previously, during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon - 2024, a dragon mascot also made by artisan Dinh Van Tam was displayed in Lao Bao town (Huong Hoa district), about 20 km from where the current snake mascot is located. At that time, the dragon mascot attracted more than 100,000 tourists to Lao Bao.

In previous years, artisan Dinh Van Tam (from Trieu Do commune, Trieu Phong district) created tiger and cat mascots that went viral on social media. Besides his hometown of Quang Tri, for the Year of the Dragon - 2024, Da Nang City also commissioned artisan Dinh Van Tam to create a dragon mascot to be erected in Nam Duong Park on Nguyen Van Linh Street, which attracted many visitors who admired and praised it.
