The Wall Street Journal recently reported that Apple has restricted employees from using ChatGPT. The company is worried that confidential data will be exposed if employees use AI, and recommends against using GitHub's software automation tool called Copilot.

Previously, Samsung also banned employees from using ChatGPT and AI services. Because of concerns that data uploaded to AI platforms such as Google Bard or Bing is stored on external servers. This is very difficult to control, retrieve or delete and will eventually be exposed to the outside. Meanwhile, in early April, Samsung engineers also accidentally leaked internal source code when posting on ChatGPT.
Chat GPT developer OpenAI has recently introduced an anonymous mode for chatbots, which does not store chat history or use it to improve AI. However, ChatGPT and other chatbots have come under increasing scrutiny for using user data to create AI.
On May 18, OpenAI launched the official ChatGPT app for iPhone and iPad. Previously, users could only access the chatbot via the web or through a third-party app.
