MSCI has announced the results of its August 2025 review of the MSCI Indices. These changes will be implemented after the close of trading on August 26, 2025.

Notably, in the MSCI Frontier Markets Indexes basket, 9 stocks were added and 4 stocks were removed in this review period.
In particular, Vietnam has 2 stock codes,FPT of FPT Corporation and HCM of Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation added to the list while SJS stock of SJ Group Corporation was removed.
Of the nine new stocks in the group, MSCI said, the three with the largest capitalizations are Vietnam's FPT, Oman's Asyad Shipping Company and Ivory Coast's Société Générale de Banques en Côte d'Ivoire.
The MSCI Frontier Markets Index is MSCI's largest frontier market index. Following the August review, the index has added five stocks to a total of 238 stocks.
On the MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap Indexes side, 28 stocks were added and 11 stocks were removed during this review.
Of which, Vietnam is the country with the largest number of added stocks with up to 9 stocks, including EVG of Everland Group Corporation, HPX of Hai Phat Investment Corporation, HLD of Hudland Real Estate Investment and Development Corporation, IMP of Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Corporation, PTB of Phu Tai Corporation, SGR of Saigon Real Estate Corporation, TVB of T-Cap Securities Corporation, ILB of IDC Tan Cang - Long Binh Corporation and TTF of Truong Thanh Wood Industry Corporation.

On the other hand, NBB shares of Nam Bay Bay Investment JSC and VDP shares of Vidipha Central Pharmaceutical JSC were excluded.
After the review period, this smallcap basket has 17 more stocks, bringing the total portfolio to 427 stocks.
As of July 31, 2025, Vietnam is still the country with the highest proportion in the two index baskets above of MSCI with a ratio of more than 26% in MSCI Frontier Market Index and 28.76% in MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap Index.
