New SUV series under 1 billion VND ready to launch in Vietnam

The Vietnamese auto market is about to launch a series of new models, mainly in the SUV segment. Many models have been spotted at the emission testing center in Hanoi, ready for launch day.

Skoda Karoq SportLine 2025

In the series of new SUVs arriving in Vietnam , the first to mention is the Skoda Karoq, which is already familiar in Vietnam, but the new SportLine version has just appeared at the emission testing center. This could be the most advanced variant of this SUV, with a listed price from 999 million to 1.089 billion VND, while the actual price at the dealer is only from 799 million VND.

The SportLine version of the 2025 Skoda Karoq impresses with 19-inch alloy wheels with a sporty design, a dark exterior package. The interior is geared towards a sporty driving experience with Suedia fabric seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and metal pedals.

New Skoda Kushaq and Slavia 2025

Skoda Kushaq, a B-segment SUV developed specifically for emerging markets, has been revealed at the factory and on the streets. The vehicle is assembled domestically and is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2025. With a length of about 4.2 meters, Kushaq will compete directly with Kia Seltos and Mitsubishi Xforce.

Along with Kushaq, the Slavia sedan is also being prepared for launch. Slavia has an exterior design similar to Kushaq but in sedan style. The interior is expected to be equipped with a 10-inch central screen, a digital screen behind the steering wheel. The expected price is around 500 million VND, promising to compete strongly with Toyota Vios, Honda City and Hyundai Accent.

Suzuki Fronx 2025

The Suzuki Fronx SUV model appeared for the first time in Vietnam, also at the emission testing center. This is a small SUV/crossover model, a competitor of Toyota Raize, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.

Fronx is equipped with LED lights, 17-inch wheels, the interior is expected to have a 9-inch central screen, similar design style to Swift. The car is likely to use a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

New Ford Territory 2025

The facelifted 2025 Ford Territory has been spotted on the road and at an emissions testing center. The SUV gets a new front-end design, grille, and headlights, along with more modern wheels. The interior and engine equipment are not expected to change much.

New Kia Sorento 2025

The 2025 Kia Sorento has also arrived in Vietnam despite its delayed launch. The SUV takes design inspiration from the new Carnival with a large grille, vertical LED lights, and connected LED taillights. The interior promises to feature a 12.3-inch curved screen and a modern touch panel.

Isuzu mu-X upgraded version

The Isuzu mu-X 2025, which was just launched in Thailand, has quickly appeared in Vietnam. The 7-seat SUV has a sharper design, new LED lights, an angular grille and sporty 20-inch wheels. The engine can be upgraded from 1.9L to 2.2L, producing 163 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.

Lexus RX 350h 2025 hybrid version

The Lexus RX 350h is available and dealers are accepting deposits. This version switches to a 2.5L hybrid engine combined with an electric motor, for a total capacity of about 247 horsepower, AWD drive system, e-CVT transmission. In addition, the RX 350h adds premium features such as a HUD screen, 360-degree camera and automatic parking assist.

Mercedes-Maybach GLS 2025

The 2025 Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV has also appeared at the emissions testing center. The new facelift has a revised grille, more compact air intakes, and refined LED lights. The interior of the Maybach GLS 600 is expected to be more upscale than before with a new steering wheel and finishing materials.

In addition to the models that have been revealed, in 2024 there will also be a facelifted Volkswagen Touareg and a new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class that has appeared but has not been officially launched. According to private sources, the new generation BMW 5-Series is also present in Vietnam, ready for the announcement day.
