The combined training exercise involved over 15,000 officers and soldiers from various branches of the armed forces, including 18 standing formations and 43 marching formations. This also marked the first time that military and police units, along with various equipment systems, conducted a combined training exercise.
Speaking at the joint training session, General Nguyen Tan Cuong commended the efforts and dedication of the units during the recent training period. The forces, units, and individual officers and soldiers have made significant progress, especially in individual movements and maintaining proper spacing in rows and columns. The military artillery and police special vehicle units have become proficient in parade formation changes, maintaining distance and speed...
The General also encouraged the soldiers, reminding them that as they train hard, they should remember the image of the people lining up from 7 PM until the next morning to watch the parade of the armed forces during the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.
According to General Nguyen Tan Cuong, this parade formation includes not only ground forces. "On the ground, we have infantry and mechanized units. In the air, we have the air force, and at sea, we will have submarines, surface vessels of the navy, coast guard, and the permanent militia fleet," General Nguyen Tan Cuong said, adding that this demonstrates the continuous growth of the people's armed forces.
