Series of major technical schools consider high school transcripts in 2025

Engineering universities have announced their 2025 enrollment information, many of which use independent or combined transcript review methods.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education recruits more than 7,000 students at the Ho Chi Minh City campus and nearly 500 students at the Binh Phuoc branch. The school applies 4 admission methods, including: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ; considering the 2025 high school graduation exam scores; considering the transcript scores and considering the capacity assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

With the method of considering transcripts, the school uses the average score of 6 high school semesters of three subjects according to the combination. The main subject score is also doubled and converted to a 30-point scale.

High school transcript admission score = (Converted high school transcript score + School bonus points) + Priority points

Hanoi University of Industry announces the admission of candidates who have won provincial-level excellent student awards and candidates with international certificates combined with high school study results. Candidates must have an average high school subject score of each subject in the admission group of 7.0 points or higher and satisfy one of the following two conditions:

• Candidates who won first, second, and third prizes in provincial/municipal high school competitions in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, Informatics, English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean (the time of winning the prizes is no more than 3 years from the time of admission).
• Candidates have one of the following international certificates: SAT ≥ 1000; international English certificate IELTS Academic ≥ 5.5, TOEFL iBT ≥ 50; Korean certificate TOPIK level 3 or higher; Chinese certificate HSK level 3 or higher; Japanese certificate JLPT level N4 or higher.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry added an admission method using high school academic results in grade 12 combined with outstanding achievements (if any).

The school considers based on the average score of the entire 12th grade transcript of 3 subjects in the admission group (subjects included in the admission group of the corresponding admission major) and outstanding achievements (if any) or the candidate is in the top of the high schools that have signed a cooperation agreement with the school.

The threshold for receiving applications is the total score of 3 subjects (without coefficient, without adding priority points, without adding outstanding achievement points) in the admission combination of at least 21 points.

For the pharmaceutical industry, the threshold for receiving applications is a total score of 3 subjects in the admission group of at least 24 points and a grade 12 academic record of excellent.

For the Law group, the minimum admission score for Math and Literature is 6 points. Bonus points for candidates with outstanding achievements are calculated at 1-3 points.

Thai Nguyen University of Technology and Education recruits students based on 4 methods: high school graduation exam scores; high school transcripts; direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; admission based on university entrance assessment scores (V-SAT) on computer.

Vinh University of Technical Education considers the transcripts of candidates who meet the admission threshold with a total score of 3 subjects in the 12th grade admission combination of 18 points or higher (plus priority points if any).

Hung Yen University of Technical Education announced the enrollment of 3,600 full-time university students for 25 majors, including the use of high school transcripts.

Phu Xuan University applies the following admission methods:

- Method 1: Admission based on 12th grade transcript.

+ Total score of 3 subjects (including regional and priority scores) is from 18 points or higher.

+ Candidates with scores from 16 to under 18 points are eligible to participate in the interview round.

- Method 2: Admission based on high school exam scores.
