Enlisting after the Lunar New Year in 2025, the soldiers undergo a rigorous three-month basic training period. From young men, they become soldiers, equipped with fundamental knowledge of politics , military affairs, logistics, and technology; they live in a healthy, united, democratic, disciplined, and orderly collective environment. After the oath-taking ceremony, they can proudly enter the next stage of their military journey.

In response to the demands and tasks of building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern army, the recruitment and conscription of citizens into the military is given priority by local military service councils. The quality of this work improves year after year. By 2025, 100% of young people conscripted in the province will have clear political backgrounds and good health; the percentage of Youth Union members and Party members will be 100%; and the educational level will be relatively uniform (university, college, and vocational school graduates will account for 11.9%).

Every year, the new recruit training takes place during the transition from spring to summer, when the weather changes constantly and becomes increasingly harsh, significantly affecting the soldiers' health and training results. Those once-outstanding young men, initially hesitant to embark on their military service, now have tanned bodies, possessing basic awareness, steady actions, and the development of the character, posture, and demeanor of a soldier. They all know how to act according to regulations, voluntarily comply with military discipline and state laws; they know how to use the weapons and equipment in their inventory to be ready to carry out assigned tasks; they understand technical and tactical skills, and are qualified to be assigned to units within the armed forces.

“This is just the beginning of the familiarization process. Next, you will have the opportunity to learn, train, and grow even more in your new unit, with increasingly demanding tasks. Those who wish to will be selected and given the opportunity to prepare for and take entrance exams to specialized schools, giving them a chance to study and serve long-term in the military. Regardless of your position or location, I believe that today's new recruits will continue to unite, strive to overcome difficulties, and be ready to accept and complete assigned tasks in all situations,” – Colonel Thach Thanh Tu, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, encouraged.

The night before the oath-taking ceremony, many soldiers were filled with excitement, much like the excitement of preparing for enlistment. To ensure a complete, proper, and solemn ceremony, the soldiers trained continuously for many days. Each soldier had their own specific task, a different and important part of the ceremony, all coming together to create the sacred moment for the soldiers in their three months of military service.

To be eligible to attend the new recruit oath ceremony, Nguyen Chi Di and his comrades in the Training and Mobile Battalion (Border Guard of the province) had to complete 68 hours of political education ; 132 hours of infantry combat techniques training; 98 hours of combined arms tactics training; 52 hours of regulations and standardization training; 48 hours of physical training; 14 hours of logistics training; and 8 hours of technical training. “I mastered shooting techniques, explosives handling, grenade throwing, breaststroke swimming… These are important, fundamental skills for a soldier, which I practiced continuously for the past three months. I am proud that I successfully completed this stage,” Di expressed.

Unlike other forces (who are assigned to new units after the oath ceremony), new recruits in the Border Guard Force continue to receive specialized training in law and border guard work for 1.5 months according to the program of the Border Guard Force General Staff. This is a special preparation for these soldiers. Upon completion of the training course, the soldiers are assigned to new units, contributing to the successful fulfillment of the task of protecting the national border.

“June marks the Traditional Day of the Provincial Border Guard Force, celebrating nearly 50 years of establishment, combat, and growth. Recently, the Provincial Border Guard Command and several individuals were honored with the Second Class Military Merit Order by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for their outstanding achievements in performing duties along the border. Therefore, we urge the new recruits to continue striving to learn, strictly abide by military discipline and unit regulations, and live up to the heroic tradition of the Border Guard Force,” emphasized Colonel Tran Quoc Khanh, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Force.

“When I was chosen to represent the new recruits in taking the oath before the Victory Banner, I felt very honored and proud. This will be an unforgettable memory in my military career. I also clearly understand that the upcoming tasks will be difficult and challenging, but they are also the responsibility of a citizen to the Fatherland. Therefore, I will constantly learn and train to improve my political acumen and contribute to the unit's excellent completion of all tasks,” – Tran Minh Khang (416th Brigade, 9th Military Region) resolutely stated.

The oath-taking ceremony is a turning point marking a significant event in the military environment for each new recruit. Under the bright June sun, young soldiers, both in age and years of service, simultaneously take the Ten Oaths of Honor. Among them is the sacred promise to sacrifice everything for the Fatherland; to complete any mission, overcome any difficulty, and defeat any enemy; to uphold the fine qualities and the tradition of decisive victory of the People's Army… They will transform these solemn oaths into concrete actions during their youthful years of dedication to the country and their homeland.
