Flood on Thuong River has dropped to alert level 1.

On October 15, the flood on the Thuong River continued to recede, however, flooding in Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh provinces and Hanoi city still occurred in some communes and wards along the river. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the flood on the Thuong River at Phu Lang Thuong station will drop below alert level 1.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the flood on the Thuong River is continuing to recede. Today, October 15, the water level on the Thuong River at Phu Lang Thuong station is at 4.49m, above the warning level of 10.19m.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, flood on Thuong River at Phu Lang Thuong station will continue to decrease and be below alert level 1.

Flooding in Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces and Hanoi city continues in some riverside communes and wards, and inundation in low-lying areas.

People in the above localities need to be on guard against the risk of riverbank and river dike erosion and landslides on steep slopes.

In addition, currently, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau , the Gulf of Thailand and the southern East Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone) has scattered showers and thunderstorms.

It is forecasted that tonight (October 15) and October 16, the sea area from Quang Tri to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand, the southern area of ​​the East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind level 6-7 and waves higher than 2m.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
