Due to the influence of storm circulation No. 1 combined with the southwest monsoon, Quang Tri has heavy to very heavy rain, with average rainfall ranging from 120 - 280mm. Some low-lying areas in Hai Lang, Trieu Phong, Cam Lo, Dakrong, Huong Hoa districts and Quang Tri town have been flooded, locally isolating some inter-village and inter-commune traffic routes; there is a high risk of landslides. Faced with that situation, the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command directed its affiliated agencies and units to proactively deploy forces and means, organize shifts, monitor information, and be ready to help people prevent and combat natural disasters.
The working delegation also inspected the situation in Hai Lang and Trieu Phong districts and the provincial militia squadron, focusing on plans to evacuate people, reinforce houses, protect barracks and warehouses, provide technical equipment, and prepare rescue forces.
