Lung Cung - A beautiful picnic route

Located at an altitude of 2,913m, Lung Cung peak is named after a village deep in the rugged mountains of Nam Co commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province. To reach the top of the mountain, we had to sit on the back of a motorbike and cross 15km of slippery road, sometimes in fog and drizzle, our hearts felt like they were about to jump out of our chests.

Next is the journey to climb to an altitude of more than 2,300m. The miracle will appear when you reach the paradise of paradises with warm sunshine, mixed with the white cloud river playing at your feet. The scenery and air are very different from the cold and wet foot of the mountain.

Lung Cung mountain peak is covered with clouds all year round, creating a mysterious scene in the middle of a sea of silver clouds. This place has recently become the top cloud hunting spot in Vietnam. The journey to Lung Cung will take you through many villages and famous landmarks such as Khau Pha, Che Cu Nha, Thao Chua Chai, Mu Cang Chai, Ta Co Y Valley...

Trekking up Lung Cung mountain offers you the opportunity to admire the wonderful natural scenery from the green pine trees to the vast grassy hills. In particular, if you want to experience cloud hunting, this is the ideal tourist destination with fresh air, diverse primeval forest with 6 typical forest trees: Red Maple forest, Nam Co bamboo forest, ancient chestnut forest, reed grass forest, Rhododendron forest and ancient apple forest. From June to July, the Northwest has clear skies, bright sunshine and blooming forests, creating a wonderful scene. Climbing during this time gives you the opportunity to take great photos with fluffy white clouds.

Because the weather in mountainous areas often changes, especially at night when the temperature drops sharply. - Trekking shoes: Choose shoes that are waterproof, durable and have foot pads to reduce foot pain when moving on mountainous terrain for too long. - Food: Bring foods such as chocolate bars, ginger candy to recharge and keep your body warm, especially in cold weather conditions. Make sure to bring enough water to avoid dehydration and reduce the risk of fatigue. - Medicine: You need to prepare necessary medicines such as fever reducers, cold medicines, headache medicines, insect repellent. - Sleeping bag/tent: If the trip lasts overnight, you must bring a sleeping bag or tent to ensure a safe and warm sleep on the mountain. - Compass: A useful tool to determine direction and help you not get lost on the complex terrain of the mountains and forests.
