TPO - Up to now, the area of land handed over at the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project is still very limited.
Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has just requested relevant units to speed up the implementation of work at key national projects being deployed in Dong Nai province, including urgently completing site clearance for the key Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project.
A small number of received sites are being constructed by contractor Lizen. |
Although the People's Committee of Dong Nai province has extended the site clearance progress three times (since June 2024) with the goal of 30 days and nights to carry out site clearance work for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project (34.2km through Dong Nai province), up to now, the area of land handed over at the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project is still very limited.
According to the Steering Committee for compensation and resettlement support for key projects in Bien Hoa city, up to this point, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project through Bien Hoa has handed over more than 24.3 hectares of land on the ground out of a total of nearly 60 hectares of land that needs to be handed over.
For the section passing through Long Thanh district, the locality has handed over more than 122 hectares of land out of the total land area that needs to be handed over of nearly 230 hectares.
A non-contiguous piece of land is very difficult to construct. |
Mr. Nguyen Linh - Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that both construction packages at the project are being implemented by contractors. The Provincial Traffic Construction Project Management Board also regularly urges and requires contractors to focus on human resources and construction machinery to make up for the delayed progress. At the same time, it coordinates with relevant agencies to find solutions to overcome difficulties in the source of fill soil to serve the project's construction.
A representative of the contractor Lizen said that the unit has mobilized machinery and personnel to the construction site, but the site handover is "poor" so it cannot be implemented quickly. Besides, it is the rainy season so the construction progress continues to face difficulties.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Director of Project Management Board Component 2 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway also - said that the handed over land is not contiguous, so construction is difficult. The locality has handed over about 54% of the land, but in reality, only about 43% of the land has been constructed. The remaining area has not been paid yet, so it is only cleared.
The overpass section through Tam Phuoc commune is under construction. |
According to Mr. Ngo The An, Director of Dong Nai Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, due to the failure to hand over the site on time, the projects cannot be completed in 2024 as planned. The unit was forced to request approval to adjust the project and extend the implementation time.
Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway (divided into 3 component projects) has a length of 53.7km, of which the section through Dong Nai is 34.2km long (component projects 1 and 2), the section through Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is 19.5km long (component project 3). Up to now, component project 3 through Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has exceeded the set schedule. In many sections, the contractor is preparing to lay asphalt concrete, expected to open to technical traffic on April 30, 2025.
