Ly Hoang Nam speaks out about the news of 'giving up' tennis

Ly Hoang Nam shocked the country's sports community when he announced that he would be pausing his tennis career to play pickleball. This decision left many fans surprised and disappointed.

However, Ly Hoang Nam affirmed that this is not "giving up" but just a "pause" for him to find a more suitable path. "Tennis is still an indispensable part of my life. However, pickleball is currently more suitable for me to continue pursuing a top sports career," he shared at the brand ambassador launch event on the morning of March 21.

Although he was once a legend of Vietnamese tennis, Ly Hoang Nam did not hesitate to start from zero in a new sport. He said that his tennis background helped him adapt easily to pickleball and that training with top players also helped him progress quickly.

"I always like to challenge myself and conquer difficult things. In pickleball, I aim to not only be the top player in Vietnam but also reach out to Asia and reach the top players in the world ," Ly Hoang Nam affirmed.

Ly Hoang Nam also emphasized that pickleball is not an easy sport and he needs to practice constantly to reach the top. He is also ready to face pressure from fans, considering it as motivation to strive in his new career.

Ly Hoang Nam's decision has created a wave of mixed public opinion. However, with his determination and desire to conquer, fans can completely trust in a promising new chapter for him in the sport of pickleball.
