If more than two years ago, Mai Dieu Ly impressed with her luxurious, seductive but also youthful and fresh image in Phu Quang's music, then in the new album, Mai Dieu Ly is a wandering, soaring, even somewhat... rebellious Mai Dieu Ly with jazz-inspired works. This project is not only different from the previous album but also a shift in Mai Dieu Ly's artistic emotions.

At the album launch “Gio qua mua thu nho” on June 14, in Hanoi, Sao Mai Mai Dieu Ly shared that releasing this jazz-inspired album is not a new step, but her return to an “old” but unique part of her musical journey. Mai Dieu Ly loves jazz, she always wondered if she would release a jazz album to satisfy her passion.

After many years of accumulating experience and maturing in music, Mai Dieu Ly now believes that she is mature and emotional enough to immerse herself in the space of jazz in a natural, soaring and individual way. She believes that this album most clearly represents the unique color in her music.

The album “Wind through autumn memories” includes 10 songs and 1 bonus track, with songs arranged in a jazz style. They are “Afternoon alone through the street” (Trinh Cong Son), “Autumn is dry” (Giang Son – poem by Pham Thien Thu), “Grass and rain” (Giang Son – poem by Nguyen Trong Tao), “Sea of memories” (Trinh Cong Son), “Bien can dry” (Kim Tuan), “Roi nhu da ngo ngo” (Trinh Cong Son), “Diem xua” (Trinh Cong Son), “Gio mua hanh phuc” (Phong Vu), “Nhuong can vac bay” (Trinh Cong Son), “Rung xua da gac” (Trinh Cong Son) and the second version of “Gio mua hanh phuc”.

The album has 6 Trinh songs, all of which have been performed by many famous singers. Talking about this choice, Mai Dieu Ly shared that she always has a deep love for the lyrics in Trinh's compositions. For Mai Dieu Ly, Trinh Cong Son's lyrics are not only music, but also rich in painting. As someone who loves painting and often paints, bringing jazz sounds to Trinh's music is not only a bold experiment, but also a way for Mai Dieu Ly to express her own perspective - an emotional perspective of painting and music with Trinh's music.

When asked about the fact that many famous singers have experimented with jazz with Trinh's music, as a young person coming after, does Mai Dieu Ly feel pressured? The female singer believes that artists who want to make a living with their profession must always find ways to learn, improve, and find a path that suits them. Therefore, Mai Dieu Ly is not too pressured in choosing songs or singing. When bringing jazz sounds to Trinh's music, the female singer hopes to make jazz and Trinh's music fresher, younger, and closer to everyone.

The album's highlight is the appearance of the new song "Happy Monsoon" by musician Phong Vu, exclusively sung by Mai Dieu Ly and performed by her in 2 styles, including 1 jazz version.

Contributing to creating Trinh's musical space with a fresh and ethereal jazz breath in the album is musician Hoang Trung Duc with arrangements that suit Mai Dieu Ly's voice and style.

With many plans and aspirations to fulfill to satisfy her passion for music, the female singer revealed that after this jazz album, she will continue to release a new album at the end of the year with another "slice" of musical portrait.
