Malaysia naturalizes 7 more players, determined to compete with Vietnam team

The Malaysian national team will have 7 new naturalized players joining the squad before the match against Vietnam in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

CNN Indonesia quoted Tunku Ismail, president of Johor Darul Ta'zim Club, as saying that the Malaysian team will have 7 new naturalized players before the match against Vietnam in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Previously, two new players Hector Hevel and Gabriel Palmero debuted in the match against Nepal. And 7 new players are expected to significantly improve the strength of the Malaysian team.

Tunku Ismail said all seven players are of Malaysian origin. They are living abroad and are ready to contribute to the national team.

"The seven Malaysian players abroad will add quality and help the team. They are proud to wear the national team's shirt and compete in international tournaments," added Johor Darul Ta'zim club president.

Tunku Ismail is the former president of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and is the man who is leading the revolution of the Malaysian national team. He is also the man behind the decision to appoint coach Peter Cklamovski to lead the Malaysian team.
