Man City eyes young talent Gabri Veiga
After deciding to withdraw from the Declan Rice deal due to the high price, Man City is focusing on plans to recruit young talent Gabri Veiga.
Gabri Veiga is currently with Spain U21s at the European U21 Championship in Romania, where they reached the quarter-finals (against Switzerland U21s).
Last season, Gabri Veiga was a mainstay of Celta Vigo and was considered one of the most promising young midfielders in La Liga (11 goals).
Gabri Veiga plays very flexibly in midfield, an important factor that attracts the attention of coach Pep Guardiola.
The 21-year-old can play as a defensive midfielder like Rodri, or as a high-flying midfielder like Ilkay Gundogan, who recently moved to Barcelona.
Man City are considering making a €40m payment to trigger Gabri Veiga's release clause at Celta Vigo.

Liverpool actively improve squad
According to The Athletic , Liverpool are aiming to beat rivals Newcastle in the race to sign international footballer Dominik Szoboszlai.
Liverpool are working hard to improve their squad, after a disappointing season for coach Jurgen Klopp and his team.
Szoboszlai can play as an attacking midfielder or on either wing. The 22-year-old Hungarian has been outstanding for RB Leipzig as well as the Bundesliga.
It is this mobility that makes Klopp want Szoboszlai. He believes this is the solution to make Liverpool's playing style more explosive.
Szoboszlai himself really wants to move to the Premier League. Newcastle has contacted him many times in the past but has not yet reached a conclusion. RB Leipzig valued this deal at 70 million Euros.

Edouard Mendy and Al Ahli Club sign 4-year contract
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal between Edouard Mendy and Al Ahli has been completed when the Saudi Arabian club spent nearly £17 million to own the best goalkeeper in the world in 2021.
Mendy's contract in Saudi Arabia runs until the summer of 2026, with a salary of £9.5 million plus £2.3 million in add-ons per season.
The Senegalese goalkeeper became the 5th transfer blockbuster and the 3rd Chelsea player to play in Saudi Arabia this summer, after Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante (Al Ittihad), Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly (Al Hilal).
Chelsea FC also sent good luck to the goalkeeper who helped the club win the Champions League title in the 2020-2021 season. "As a likeable person both on and off the pitch, Mendy will always have an important place in Chelsea's history.
We appreciate and are grateful for Mendy's contributions to Chelsea in the 2020/21 Champions League. We wish him the best of luck in the next phase."
Al Ahli is the team that just won the Saudi Arabia First Division championship and officially won a ticket to the Saudi Pro League season 2023-24.
