This was Barcelona's 28th title in the league's history, and also a hugely successful season with a domestic treble including La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.

Furthermore, Barcelona also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League. This achievement earned Hansi Flick's team numerous congratulations from fans, experts, and legends associated with the club, most notably a message from Lionel Messi.

The Argentinian superstar wrote briefly on Instagram : "Felicidades" (Congratulations) accompanied by a heart emoji in Barcelona colors, symbolizing the La Liga championship, thus expressing his deep affection for his former club.

Shortly afterwards, his close friend Luis Suarez also left a similar congratulatory message under the club's Instagram post. Both have always followed Barcelona's progress and have never forgotten their glorious years at the Catalan club.

In the early hours of May 16th, Barca defeated Espanyol 2-0 to become the new champions of the Spanish La Liga for the 2024/25 season. The gap between Hansi Flick's team and Real Madrid is now 7 points, with only two rounds remaining in the season.
