Messi's short wishes for Barcelona.

The Catalans ended the season in perfect fashion at Espanyol's RCDE stadium with a well-deserved La Liga title. This was Barcelona's 28th title in the history of the competition, and also a hugely successful season with a domestic treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.

In addition, Barcelona also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League. The achievement helped Hansi Flick and his team receive many congratulations from fans, experts and legends associated with the club, notably a message from Lionel Messi.

The Argentine superstar briefly wrote on Instagram : "Felicidades" (Congratulations) with a heart symbol in Barcelona's colors for the La Liga championship, thereby expressing his deep affection for his old team.

Shortly after, his close friend Luis Suarez also left a similar message under the club's Instagram post. Both have always followed Barcelona's every step and have never forgotten their glorious years at the Catalan club.

On the morning of May 16, Barca defeated Espanyol 2-0 to become the new champion of the Spanish National Championship for the 2024/25 season. The gap between coach Hansi Flick and Real Madrid is now 7 points, while there are only 2 rounds left in the season.
