Football Espana reports that Barcelona and FC Copenhagen, Bardghji's parent club, reached an agreement for the transfer last month. The 19-year-old midfielder is currently at Barcelona's training centre for a medical and is set to be unveiled at his new club.
As soon as he arrived in Spain, Bardghji shared his initial feelings with Sport : "I feel very happy to sign a contract with Barcelona."
The fee for Barcelona to recruit Bardghji is expected to be around 2.5 million euros. Bardghji's 15-year-old brother Rayan will also join the Camp Nou team and play for the academy team from the 2025/26 season.
Bardghji was once dubbed the "Swedish Messi" because of his exceptional qualities on the pitch. However, after a serious knee injury in 2024, his value has decreased. At Barcelona, Bardghji will have the opportunity to restore his form and restart his career.
Barcelona plan to have Bardghji train with the first team, but he will play for the B team or the youth team. The 19-year-old midfielder could join the club's tour of Asia, which will include matches in South Korea and Japan.
