Daniel Levy leaves his position as Tottenham Chairman.

Daniel Levy announced on Tottenham's homepage: "I am proud of what I have done with the team and all the staff. We have built Tottenham into a global club and created a sustainable community. I am fortunate to work with great people."

"Thank you to the fans who have accompanied me. The journey has never been easy, but we have made a lot of progress. I will continue to support the team," the 63-year-old President concluded.

The reins will be handed over to Peter Charrington. Mr Charrington said: "This is a new era of leadership, with many changes over the past period, as we build a strong foundation for the future, focusing on stability and developing talent."

Levy joined the Spurs board in 2000, after ENIC bought a 27% stake from Sir Alan Sugar. Since then, Tottenham has undergone a complete transformation. The biggest project of his reign was the construction of the 62,000-seat stadium, which opened in April 2019.

A month later, Spurs reached the Champions League final, but lost to Liverpool. Under Levy, the team has always been at the top of the Premier League and also won the Europa League after beating MU in the 2024/25 season.

Levy's reign has been controversial at Tottenham.

In the last 20 seasons, Spurs have participated in European tournaments 18 times, affirming their stable position on the international football map under the leadership of Levy.

However, the 63-year-old has also faced criticism from fans. The squad’s wages are much lower than those of its big rivals and the constant change of coach has been a source of discontent.

Thomas Frank, appointed to replace Ange Postecoglou just two weeks after the Europa League triumph, is the 14th manager of Levy's tenure.

Tottenham have undergone a number of notable changes this summer. Sporting Director Scott Munn left the club along with Postecoglou, Vinai Venkatesham from Arsenal was appointed as the new CEO, and Donna-Maria Cullen, a long-time partner of Levy, also left the club after 19 years.

Levy's departure marks the end of a turbulent but fruitful era, opening a new chapter for Tottenham with ambitions to reach new heights. However, this change also raises questions about the future direction and long-term stability of the north London club.
