Amidst the colorful space of culture and cuisine, the sports performance stage became the center of attention when the national Muay Thai team brought an impressive, energetic performance, demonstrating the warrior spirit and strong beauty typical of Thai martial arts.
With a "huge" squad of 18 national players in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games, the Muay team delighted the audience at the Fair with their Wai Kru ritual performance - the sacred beginning before each match.
The combination of traditional drum beats, technical movements and confident expressions of the fighters brought to the audience both exciting and calm emotions. Not only a fighting sport, Muay Thai is also an art expressing strength, flexibility and bravery - where people reach the limits of physical strength and will.
Muay Thai fighter Nguyen Thi Chieu, one of the prominent faces of the Muay Thai team, shared her proud feelings: “I am very happy to be performing with the team at a large-scale, modern event imbued with the cultural identity of the regions. This is a great opportunity for everyone to understand and love Muay Thai more.”

Muay Thai world and Asian champion Hoang Khanh Mai said: “My teammates and I really enjoyed the Fair space – from the decoration to the booths with unique cultural identities. What makes us happiest is to perform in front of a large audience, bringing the Vietnamese sports spirit closer to the public.”
According to Ms. Tu Thi Le Na, Head of Muay and Pencak Silat – Vietnam Sports Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the two Muay and Pencak Silat teams brought a total of 48 national athletes to the Fair, of which 30 were Pencak Silat fighters.
These are all elite faces looking forward to the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand this December. Both teams performed excellent performances, combining martial arts techniques and artistic expression, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

Many famous faces of Vietnamese sports have contributed to the strong attraction of the Fair. Boxer Nguyen Tan Sang – three-time SEA Games champion, four-time world champion and recently received the “Beautiful Youth” award – received enthusiastic cheers.
Along with Nguyen Duy Tuyen, who has won five world championships and four SEA Games championships, both athletes were awarded the First Class Labor Medal for their outstanding contributions.
On the Muay Thai side, besides the golden faces like Nguyen Doan Long, Nguyen Thi Hau, Hoang Khanh Mai, the audience also witnessed the harmonious and energetic coordination of a team aiming for new glory for Vietnamese sports.
Not only bringing beautiful performances, the athletes also impressed when walking on the sports fashion stage, spreading the dynamic and healthy image of Vietnamese people in the new era. Their appearance made the Fair atmosphere more exciting, connecting sports and culture - two parallel streams in the journey to build the image of a modern, integrated and vibrant Vietnam.
Tomorrow, the audience will continue to enjoy the performance of the Pencak Silat team and on October 30, the Muay team will return to the Autumn Fair stage, promising more sublime moments of the Vietnamese sports spirit.
