MITC - National startup highlight at SV-STARTUP Festival 2025

At this event, the Central College of Industry and Trade (MITC) affirmed its pioneering position when it was honored to be one of 10 outstanding educational institutions to receive a certificate of merit from the Minister of Education and Training for its outstanding achievements in supporting students to start businesses in the period 2017-2025.

This is a worthy reward for MITC's persistent journey in building an innovative startup ecosystem in the Central Highlands region, especially Phu Yen province. At the same time, Dr. Tran Kim Quyen, Principal of the school, was also awarded a personal certificate of merit by Minister Nguyen Kim Son for her outstanding contributions to the startup movement in colleges nationwide.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the strategic role of the startup ecosystem in the development of the country: A startup nation cannot lack the entrepreneurial spirit of each individual, especially the youth. Startup activities need to be promoted with a spirit of speed, boldness, and no limits, while at the same time bringing real benefits to learners.

MITC is one of the pioneers in realizing this orientation. Since 2016, the school has established a startup incubator, developing it into an Incubation and Innovation Center. MITC currently has a network of more than 90 advisors, experts, and accompanying entrepreneurs, organizing many programs to support idea development, investment connection, and communication for more than 40 startups. In 2024, MITC signed a strategic cooperation agreement with VCCI and the Southern National Startup Support Advisory Council, officially joining the national innovation startup ecosystem. In particular, the Mentoring Club model initiated by MITC is becoming a model for effectively connecting advisors and learners, accompanying dozens of youth startup programs, spreading the spirit of innovation inside and outside the school.
