
In the first quarter of 2025, Vietnam exported 122,171 tons of cashew nuts, worth more than 839 million USD (down 18.9% in volume but up 3.7% in value compared to the same period in 2024).
The average export price of cashew nuts in the first quarter of 2025 reached 6,868 USD/ton (up 28% over the same period in 2024).
In the first quarter of 2025, Vietnam exported the most cashew nuts to the US market with 28,901 tons, worth nearly 197.5 million USD (down 26.16% in volume and 5.1% in value compared to the same period in 2024; accounting for 23.7% of total output and 23.5% of total export turnover of this item of the whole country). The average export price to this market reached 6,830 USD/ton (up 28.5% compared to the same period in 2024).
Next is the Chinese market with 17,410 tons, worth nearly 109.5 million USD (down more than 26% in volume and 16.6% in value compared to the same period in 2024). The average export price to this market reached 6,286.5 USD/ton (up 12.8% compared to the same period in 2024). The third place belongs to the Dutch market with 11,989 tons, worth nearly 85.5 million USD (up 16.6% in volume and 48.7% in value compared to the same period in 2024).
For nearly two decades, Vietnam has been the world's number one country in exporting cashew nuts. In 2025, the Vietnam Cashew Association aims to export cashew nuts worth 4.5 billion USD (130 million USD higher than in 2024).
