On the afternoon of May 30, the Ministry of Public Security announced that in order to implement the provisions of Article 3, Decree No. 09/2017/ND-CP dated February 9, 2017 of the Government detailing the speaking and providing information to the press of state administrative agencies, the Ministry of Public Security will provide information about the Ministry's spokesperson from June 1, 2025.
The new spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security is Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan.
Previously, Mr. Toan's predecessor was Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security.
Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan is from Hai Phong city. In October 2019, he was appointed Director of Bac Giang Provincial Police.
In January 2025, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan was assigned by the Minister of Public Security to hold the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security.
