Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, the economic security force of An Giang Provincial Police discovered that the subject had signs of forging documents of the Provincial People's Committee to commit fraud. The Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors directed the Economic Security Department to coordinate with the Criminal Police Department (Provincial Police) to quickly investigate and clarify.
Using professional measures, on May 29, the police identified and arrested NHL in My Binh Ward (Long Xuyen City). Through inspection, they discovered and seized from L. many documents of the People's Committee of An Giang Province that L. had forged. Conducting an emergency search of L.'s residence in Dong Thap Province, the police continued to seize many documents related to L.'s act of forging documents.
At the police station, L. initially confessed that due to financial difficulties and debt, L. had the idea of forging documents from the People's Committee of An Giang province regarding the licensing of sand mining in An Giang province, in order to defraud and appropriate other people's property.
To do this, L. forged a document from the People's Committee of An Giang province granting L.'s company a license to exploit sand mines in An Giang province to find investors to contribute capital and give money to L. Thereby, 2 people signed a contract to contribute capital to exploit sand, with a total amount of 3.2 billion VND, but no one had given money to L., so L. was arrested by the police. Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified.
