Chau Phu district is one of the localities with agricultural strengths in An Giang province, with a large production area and a variety of crops and livestock. In recent years, market fluctuations, the impact of climate change, unstable agricultural prices, etc. have affected farmers. To support farmers in developing production, the district Farmers' Association coordinated with the provincial Farmers' Association to appraise loans for the My Duc longan planting project, with 11 households, the amount of 1 billion VND from the Central Farmers' Support Fund. At the same time, the district Social Policy Bank coordinated with the district Social Policy Bank to entrust loans to 688 households, with a total outstanding debt of over 32 billion VND. These capital sources were invested for the right purposes, and some effective capital use models brought profits to farmers.
Chairman of the Chau Phu District Farmers' Association Tran Tien Si said: “The Chau Phu District Farmers' Association also coordinates with cooperatives to mobilize farmers to link agricultural product consumption, to help limit the situation of "good harvest, low price". Linking production and consumption helps farmers feel secure in investing, improving product quality and expanding production scale. At the same time, coordinate with specialized units to organize training courses, transfer technical advances to farmers. Promote propaganda on the use of organic fertilizers and pesticides to reduce environmental pollution, improve the quality of agricultural products. Guide farmers to access smart agricultural production models, apply digital technology in monitoring weather, diseases, markets and building agricultural product brands".

In particular, from the movement "Good Farmers in Production and Business", many farming households have become advanced models, not only enriching themselves but also actively sharing experiences, helping households in difficulty to develop together. Through the movement, many typical production models of farmers have emerged, contributing to the shift in crop and livestock structure to achieve high economic efficiency, creating jobs for rural workers. Typically, such as: Khanh Hoa longan growing model of Khanh Hoa Trade, Service, Tourism and Agriculture Cooperative; durian growing model of Binh Chanh durian growing association; eel raising branches and associations of Binh Phu, Thanh My Tay, Binh Long communes; cow raising branches and associations of Binh Phu and Binh Long communes, etc.
In recent years, the eel farming movement in canvas tanks has developed strongly in Chau Phu district. In Thanh My Tay commune, some households have succeeded with this model, initially bringing high efficiency. In particular, Thanh My Tay VietGAP Eel Farming - Trading - Service Cooperative is one of the pioneers in eel farming in canvas tanks applying biosafety. Currently, the Cooperative has 10 members raising eels, with 25 farming tanks. Eel fry of Thanh My Tay VietGAP Eel Farming - Trading - Service Cooperative is provided to households in the locality and many provinces and cities. Currently, in addition to selling commercial eels and eel fry, the Cooperative is supported by all levels, sectors and localities with technical support for dried eel production, aiming to recognize products that meet OCOP standards (One Commune One Product Program), in order to diversify products, meet consumer demand and increase income.

The association's branches are operating in an increasingly orderly manner, creating trust and solidarity among members. The Association regularly launches emulation movements, such as: "Farmers compete in good production and business", "Farmers join hands to build new rural areas", "Farmers participate in environmental protection" ... attracting enthusiastic response from a large number of members. In addition, the Farmers' Association of the district also maintains and effectively promotes models, such as: Beef cattle farming model, "Pesticide packaging collection and treatment points", with 11 collection points in the sub-region of O Long Vi commune (Chau Phu district)".
In recent times, the Farmers' Association of Chau Phu district has affirmed its role in the development of agriculture, farmers and rural areas. Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Farmers' Associations at all levels of the district will continue to orient and accompany farmers in the process of developing agricultural production; increase support for the development of OCOP products, promote e-commerce in the consumption of agricultural products. The Association aims to help farmers increase their income, improve their qualifications, sense of responsibility to the community, and contribute to the construction of new rural areas and advanced new rural areas. Strengthen and improve the quality of life of branches and associations; review and manage the number of members and exemplary members according to the plan. At the same time, coordinate with the District Social Policy Bank to support loans for borrowers who are unemployed farmers and have a need for loans in communes and towns.
