Ninh Hoa: Aiming to have 40 more OCOP products

The People's Committee of Ninh Hoa town has just issued a plan to implement the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in 2025. The town aims to have 40 more OCOP products this year.

Accordingly, the program focuses on supporting the upgrading, standardization, and completion of at least 40 products that achieve 3-4 stars at the district and provincial levels, including at least 2 products that achieve OCOP at the provincial level. Up to now, 44 products from 21 entities have registered to participate and are focusing on completing their products, including some products processed from agarwood, seaweed, three-leaf cauliflower, some types of food processed from nem chua, cha lua, chicken, milk oysters, etc. The majority of the subjects participating in this year's program are cooperatives and enterprises.

The program's implementation budget is more than VND 2.83 billion, of which the state budget supports nearly VND 2.4 billion, mainly to support entities upgrading products.

It is known that up to now, the OCOP program in Ninh Hoa has completed receiving product ideas and developing plans to upgrade products. The organization of evaluating documents and evaluating and classifying products began in June.

This year, along with the annual implementation, the OCOP program also focuses on perfecting the operating apparatus to suit the two-level government. Especially, building regulations, job descriptions, and assigning specific tasks to leaders and commune-level officials to implement the program to ensure smooth and effective implementation.
