Successfully implemented important projects
During the 41-year journey of building and developing Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory, Ms. Chau Thi Kim Loan has worked for 31 years and held many important positions, contributing much effort and intelligence to the development of the factory. From 2015 to present, Ms. Loan has been trusted by the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) with the important responsibilities of Secretary of the Office Party Cell, in charge of the Factory Party Cell, and Director of Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory. During this period, she was the head, responsible for successfully implementing important projects to realize Khatoco's policy of investing in in-depth development of the tobacco industry.

Implementing the province's policy of relocating Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory from Binh Tan area (Nha Trang city) to Trang E Industrial Cluster (Suoi Cat commune, Cam Lam district) and investing in depth, modernizing the production line at the factory, since 2017, Khatoco's leaders have determined to invest in the project of a shredded tobacco production line with a capacity of 4 tons/hour at Trang E Industrial Cluster. This project was implemented in parallel with the project of relocating Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory to Trang E Industrial Cluster. At that time, Ms. Chau Thi Kim Loan, as the Factory Director, was the person who directly directed and implemented these two important projects.
Many officials and workers at Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory still remember clearly that in 2021, when these two projects entered the peak implementation phase with a lot of work, it was also the time when the Covid-19 pandemic raged, all activities were seriously affected by the highest level of epidemic prevention and control requirements. Ms. Loan, together with the factory's management and workers, implemented "1 route, 2 destinations", "3 on-site" production; overcame difficulties so that by July 2022, the shredded tobacco production line would be put into safe, efficient and quality operation; by August 2023, the Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory in Trang E would be inaugurated. Looking back at this achievement, the workers at the factory all expressed their admiration for Ms. Loan for meticulously planning and organizing the implementation in a scientific and flexible manner to ensure both the progress of the projects and the factory's production plan was not interrupted.
“Keeping in mind the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho: “Must be skillful in uniting and leading workers; everything must rely on the passionate patriotism and abundant creativity of workers…”, in the context of limited resources and difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, to implement the above two projects, I, together with the Board of Directors of the Factory, have aroused the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties, promoting the creativity of each cadre, party member, and worker, thereby mobilizing maximum internal resources to successfully implement the projects. The most outstanding result is the effective relocation, saving up to 70% of costs compared to the original estimate and reaching the finish line earlier than the requirements of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Khatoco. This is the foundation for Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory in particular, Khatoco in general, to develop sustainably in the future, contributing to the socio -economic development of the province”, Ms. Loan shared.
Care for workers
Imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", Ms. Loan, together with the Party Committee and factory leaders, promoted the creative labor emulation movement in all departments, offices and workshops. In the period of 2016 - 2025, the factory had 5 type A initiatives, 8 type B initiatives, 4 type C initiatives at the Corporation level; 5 grassroots initiatives and 210 initiatives to rationalize production and business. These initiatives were promptly commended by the factory leaders and Khanh Viet Corporation; thereby motivating and encouraging the creative labor emulation movement at the unit, contributing to the effective implementation of the factory's production and business tasks, with high growth in revenue and output. In 2016, the factory's production output reached 907 million packs of cigarettes, with total revenue reaching 6,841 billion VND; In 2024, output will reach 1,036 million cigarette packs, with total revenue reaching 8,126 billion VND.
Ms. Chau Thi Kim Loan confided: “The generations of leaders of Khatoco in general, Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory in particular, always keep in mind Uncle Ho's teaching: "Must take care of the spiritual and material life of workers". Therefore, throughout the process of construction and development, workers are always placed in the central position by Khanh Viet Corporation and Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory, as the most valuable asset of the unit. In the journey to reach new heights, Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory will always create a professional, dynamic, creative working environment and create development opportunities for all employees and workers in the whole factory, thereby encouraging workers to contribute to the overall development of the unit, as well as actively contribute to the sustainable development of Khatoco".
