Signing of memorandum of understanding between Hue city and Nara province

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of June 4, at the Office of the City People's Committee, a Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between Hue City and Nara Province (Japan) took place. Attending were: Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, Mr. Mori Takero; Governor of Nara Province, Mr. Yamashita Makoto. On the city side, there were Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong; Member of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh; representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

Leaders of Hue city and Nara province signed a memorandum of understanding

The purpose of the memorandum is to expand and effectively develop the friendly relationship between Hue City and Nara Prefecture in enhancing cooperation in many fields beyond the framework of the conference mechanism that the two localities attend; seek support from foreign partners in implementing local socio -economic development goals; contribute to strengthening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan in general, between Hue City and Japanese local governments in particular.

Accordingly, the two sides encourage proactively promoting the development of mutually beneficial cooperation on the basis of respecting the characteristics of each locality, exchanging information and implementing cooperation activities in the fields of cultural exchange, tourism, health, cultural heritage preservation, labor - employment, agriculture , trade and investment...

The two sides will continue to coordinate in organizing short-term exchange programs for high school students; dispatch teachers and organize cultural activities of the two localities; cooperate in teaching Japanese in Hue and introducing Vietnamese culture in Nara. Cooperate in organizing educational projects on cultural heritage, connecting the ancient capital of Hue and Nara province - two lands with cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO. At the same time, cooperate in developing digital learning platforms, bilingual Vietnamese - Japanese digital libraries; develop shared learning materials (books, videos, digital lectures) on Vietnamese - Japanese history and culture for students and teachers; share experiences in implementing AI, IoT in the classroom and in education management.

According to Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Hue City and Nara Province is an important basis for expanding and effectively developing the friendly relationship between the two sides in many fields beyond the framework of the conference mechanism that the two localities attended; seeking support from Japanese partners in implementing the socio-economic development goals of the locality; for prosperity and development on the basis of equality and mutual benefit of both sides.

In the coming time, Hue City will actively promote cooperation activities with Japanese partners, especially with Nara province in the signed fields.
