Ms. Toi is striving to develop her livestock farming business to set an example for other female members of the association.

These are Ta Oi women who spend their lives tending their cassava and corn fields, struggling to make ends meet, but hesitant to borrow capital for fear of failure and inability to repay debts. Ms. Toi encouraged the women to boldly borrow capital, while also providing dedicated advice and guidance on developing economic activities suitable to the conditions of each member's family. Thanks to this encouragement and guidance, dozens of women in the village confidently borrowed policy-based capital to start businesses.

“Ms. Ho Thi Bi borrowed 50 million dong to raise pigs and plant acacia trees. She scientifically staggered the pig breeding cycles, ensuring she had pigs to sell almost every month; this guaranteed timely repayment of principal and interest; she also bought back piglets and saved some money. The acacia trees are considered her savings. Now, Ms. Bi's household has escaped poverty and has a stable economy. Ms. Dang Thi Lo and Ms. Ho Thi Vac borrowed 100 million dong each to expand their grocery stores and develop their zèng weaving business…”, Ms. Toi recounted. For her, each member who escapes poverty is like a beacon of warmth and prosperity for the village.

With a dedicated branch leader, the Women's Association of Paris - Kavin village has established a separate fund, providing interest-free loans to members in need. Thanks to this, many households, such as those of A Viet Phieu and Dang Thi Tuoi, have had the opportunity to improve their economic situation. Remarkably, this fund is funded by contributions from the women through their labor. "Many families have land but lack people to plant acacia trees or rice, so we help out. The market rate is 200,000 dong per day, but we only charge 30,000 dong to contribute to the fund. Each year, each person contributes dozens of days like that," said Ms. Tuoi.

Under the leadership of Ms. Toi, women's activities in Paris-Kavin village are always vibrant, practical, and full of love. Effectively implementing the "Turning Trash into Money" movement, recyclable waste is collected and sold to raise money to support disadvantaged children. A prime example is Hoang Thi Hon, an orphan with a congenital heart condition, who has received gifts many times, reflecting the warmth of her generosity.

Connected by the branch leader and participating together in meaningful activities, the women's association members in Paris - Kavin village are becoming increasingly close-knit and united. The members are always willing to share the difficulties with single-parent families and those lacking labor. When Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngut, elderly and ill, could no longer work in the fields, the women's association members joined together to help plant acacia trees. When Mrs. Ra Pat Thi Ty and Mrs. Blup Thi Oanh, having recently given birth, could not work in the fields, dozens of members joined hands to help with rice planting and transplanting seedlings to ensure timely planting.

The women also voluntarily went to the forest to chop firewood, contributed rice, helped clean houses, and visited and encouraged families of policy beneficiaries and those who contributed to the revolution. Through these seemingly small acts, Ms. Toi and the other members have spread a profound spirit of mutual support and compassion throughout the community.

According to Ms. Ho Thi Hong, Head of Paris-Kavin village, the women's movement in the village has developed strongly primarily thanks to the Ta Oi people's culture of love and mutual support that has existed for generations. However, for the movement to truly become a part of daily life, it needs the connection and enthusiasm of a leader like Ms. Toi.

“Ms. Toi is not only an ‘extended arm’ of the Women's Union at the grassroots level but also a source of spiritual support for many members. With her dedication and responsibility, she has played a pivotal role in building the movement to help women develop economically and alleviate poverty,” shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, President of the Women's Union of Lam Dot Commune.
