An Giang supports 70% of health insurance premiums for ethnic minority students

An Giang Provincial People's Council has just issued Resolution 09/2025/NQ-HDND regulating the level of health insurance support for a number of subjects in An Giang province.

Support health insurance cards for ethnic minorities in Tri Ton district

Specifically, 70% of health insurance premiums will be supported for students who are ethnic minorities. 30% of health insurance premiums will be supported for ethnic minorities living in communes in regions II, III, and extremely disadvantaged villages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2016 - 2020, but these communes are no longer on the list of communes in regions II, III, and extremely disadvantaged villages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2021 - 2025 according to the Prime Minister 's decision.

In case a person belongs to many subjects supported by the state budget to pay health insurance, he/she will only receive the highest level of support. Funding for implementation comes from the provincial budget.

This Resolution takes effect from June 7, 2025. The Provincial People's Council assigns the Provincial People's Committee to organize implementation in accordance with legal provisions.
