Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Project Management Board Nguyen Thanh Cuong said that the DT 941 Project (extended section) is a level II traffic project, with the starting point of the project intersecting with the Long Xuyen City bypass; the end point intersecting with DT 941. The project is invested by the Provincial Project Management Board, with a total project length of nearly 11km, including 3 intersections (intersection with the Long Xuyen City bypass, intersection with the road to the waste treatment area, intersection with DT 941); 11 permanent reinforced concrete bridges; 10 box culverts, 5 reinforced concrete round culverts and other items on the route. The total investment of the project is nearly 863.7 billion VND (720 billion VND from the central budget, the rest from the provincial budget). In particular, the contract value of package 19 for construction and installation of traffic roads and circular culverts has a contract value of 193 billion VND, to be constructed in 540 days.
The DT941 project (extension) is one of the key traffic routes, an inter-regional traffic axis in the future. When completed, it will have an important meaning in completing the traffic infrastructure and contributing to promoting local socio-economic development. The project will create a new route, connecting key areas, reducing traffic congestion, strengthening the connection between residential areas, industrial parks and neighboring localities, creating development opportunities for businesses and promoting investment exploration of investors in the future. "The Project Management Board regularly encourages, reminds, and directs the project director and direct project managers to uphold their responsibility in management and closely coordinate with local authorities and contractors to promptly remove difficulties to complete the project as soon as possible" - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cuong said.

Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc emphasized that the groundbreaking of Package 19 of Project DT941 (extended section) is one of the important milestones and marks. After completion, it will ensure traffic safety and order, relieve congestion on National Highway 91 through the inner city of Long Xuyen City, An Chau Town, Binh Hoa Commune (Chau Thanh District). In addition, the project also has an important meaning in developing and expanding urban space for Chau Thanh District, serving as a lever to promote socio-economic development and attract investment in the coming time. Therefore, the provincial departments, branches, Long Xuyen City People's Committee, Chau Thanh District continue to support and create all favorable conditions for investors and contractors to implement and complete the project on schedule. Investors, contractors, supervisors, and design consultants must uphold a sense of responsibility, work seriously, objectively, and effectively to implement projects that ensure quality, progress, environmental sanitation, and labor safety. During the implementation process, it is necessary to ensure publicity and transparency; resolutely prevent and combat corruption, and absolutely not allow negativity, loss, waste, or group interests to occur.
