Emotional when visiting submerged islands in Truong Sa
During this special voyage, the journalists visited the submerged islands of Da Thi, Co Lin and Len Dao. These are small islands but have a very important position in detecting and preventing activities of foreign ships violating Vietnam's sovereignty in the waters of the Truong Sa archipelago.
Here, journalists witnessed with their own eyes the life of the people here, although full of hardship and deprivation, but always full of determination to overcome difficulties and optimism.
From afar, the submerged islands of Con Lin, Len Dao, Da Thi… look like lighthouses among the waves of Truong Sa.
Living conditions here are still lacking, however, the soldiers still steadfastly stick to protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland. Overcoming all these difficulties, with will, determination, solidarity and high responsibility, generations of officers and soldiers working on the submerged islands always excellently complete their assigned tasks to contribute to building the island into one of the solid defense lines in Truong Sa.
The delegation leader visited a family on Da Tay A island.
Previously, like other submerged islands, the biggest difficulty on these islands was the lack of fresh water and no land to grow trees, vegetables, etc. Here, fresh water for daily life was mainly exploited from rainwater. In recent years, the islands have been invested in equipping reservoir systems, so they have proactively ensured 100% of their daily water needs. The islands have wind and solar energy systems, contributing to improving and enhancing living conditions and serving training and work, etc.

At every island, the journalists took the opportunity to exchange and learn more about the life and people on the island. Journalist-writer Phong Diep (Nhan Dan Newspaper) shared with admiration: "For a long time, we have thought that young people cannot live without technology, without a smartphone to surf the web, watch tiktok, but here, young soldiers only in their late teens and early twenties are still persistent, resilient, and full of optimism to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands...".
The image of a young soldier, strong and resilient, protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
In their free time, the young soldiers play with the children on the island to ease their homesickness.
The island soldiers just lack human warmth.
Journalist To Dinh Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, coming to Truong Sa for the second time, still had very special feelings: "I feel happy because the submerged islands have changed and developed a lot compared to before, the islands have more vegetable gardens, gyms, and rich libraries of books for officers and soldiers to improve their knowledge outside of training and combat protection time. The journalist hopes that the mainland will continue to turn towards the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland".
Journalist To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, presented the national flag from the program "Proud of the National Flag" to soldiers and fishermen.

See you again Truong Sa!
Journalist Le Quoc Minh commented: "Beyond the meaning of a normal business trip, the most valuable and historical thing about the journey of more than 100 journalists to the islands and platforms of Truong Sa at the time of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day this time is to give press managers and reporters a realistic and emotional panoramic view of the simple life but always full of the spirit of overcoming difficulties of soldiers and people in Truong Sa. From there, we understand and love Truong Sa more and more".
Journalist Le Quoc Minh and working group number 25 waved to Truong Sa soldiers.
The things that are directly heard, seen, and the emotions that linger in the writer's heart will be spread out on the pages of writing, articles, television reports..., conveying the love for Truong Sa, the sea and islands at the head of the country where the East Sea is, to readers, to the general public at home and abroad. From there, the community of people across the country will turn to Truong Sa, join hands and hearts to support soldiers and people here to preserve the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland, protect national sovereignty in the era of the country's rise and international integration.
