On the evening of June 2, Emirates' Boeing 777-300ER with flight number EK370 officially landed at Da Nang International Airport, opening a new chapter in the journey to connect the central coastal city with the world . This is the third route of the world's largest airline to Vietnam, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, operating 4 flights per week via Bangkok (Thailand).

Not just a new flight route, Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang is a strategic air corridor, connecting Da Nang City with more than 140 cities on 6 continents operated by Emirates. Prominent destinations such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Milan, Rome... now have significantly shortened time and procedures for tourists and businesses in Central Vietnam.

Mr. Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales and Country Management, Emirates, affirmed that this is an important step in the airline's growth strategy in Southeast Asia. "The new route demonstrates our long-term commitment to supporting trade, tourism and bilateral relations between Vietnam and key markets," said Mr. Nabil Sultan.

Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, emphasized: "This flight route contributes to making Da Nang a trading center, while shortening the distance between the city and strategic markets such as the Middle East, Europe, North America and Africa."

In particular, the event took place in the context of Da Nang implementing specific mechanisms according to Resolution 136 of the National Assembly to aim at becoming an international financial center and free trade zone. This makes the flight route not only a tourist attraction, but also a "boost" for investment and trade.

It is no coincidence that Emirates, the airline consistently voted the best in the world, chose Da Nang to open a flight route, because Da Nang has all the conditions for tourism infrastructure, a high-class resort ecosystem, and the advantage of a central geographical location.

Ms. Nguyen Vu Quynh Anh, Deputy General Director of Sun Group, shared: "We are proud to contribute to this strategic event. The new route will bring high-end customers from the Middle East, Europe, and America to Da Nang, where it can be conveniently connected to the heritage sites of Hoi An, Hue, and My Son."
