Established in 2022, Huyen Han Agricultural Cooperative, in Tan Thinh Ward, Thai Nguyen City, focuses on trading agricultural products of cooperatives inside and outside the province. The cooperative's store always has more than 15 typical agricultural products, which have been granted OCOP certification.
Currently, along with traditional sales channels, the cooperative also promotes products through livestreaming on social networking platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
Ms. Dang Thi Huyen, Director of Huyen Han Agricultural Cooperative, shared: Realizing that customers' online shopping trend is becoming more and more popular, the Cooperative has proactively invested in modern filming and broadcasting equipment and learned livestream skills (from how to introduce products, advise customers to how to close orders). In particular, in each live broadcast session, we always carefully prepare the content, from introducing the origin of the products, clean production processes to sharing effective ways to use each item. Although it was established less than 3 years ago, the application of multi-channel consumption has helped the Cooperative's average annual revenue reach 1.2-2 billion VND.
Besides online channels, trade promotion activities, fairs, agricultural exhibitions, and supply-demand connections are also playing an important role in boosting the consumption of cooperative products.
When the first products made from medicinal plants were introduced nearly 5 years ago, representatives of Tien Phong Agricultural Cooperative in Yen Trach Commune (Phu Luong) brought bags of dried bitter melon and jars of medicinal herbs to introduce to a number of agencies, units and relatives and friends. However, the number of products sold was quite slow, while the number of goods produced increased day by day.
While facing difficulties in output, with the help of functional departments in the province, Tien Phong Agricultural Cooperative has brought products to participate in exhibitions and introductions at many fairs and trade promotion activities inside and outside the province, such as: Thai Nguyen OCOP Exhibition Fair, Agricultural Festival, Agricultural Product Consumption Connection Week, Regional Specialty Product Fair...
After participating in these activities, the cooperative's products became known to many customers and received a series of orders.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoang, Director of Tien Phong Agricultural Cooperative, said: Participating in fairs and trade promotion activities helps us reach customers in many places across the country, while previously we only focused on the local market. Along with that, when participating in these activities, we also get to hear direct feedback from customers after trying the products to perfect the products better and better.
With the goal of promoting the consumption of agricultural products and products for cooperatives, in recent times, the Provincial Cooperative Union has implemented many support activities, such as: Putting agricultural products on e-commerce platforms, organizing agricultural markets, online livestream sales sessions...
In 2024 alone, the Provincial Cooperative Union organized over 100 cooperatives to participate in displaying, promoting, and introducing products at fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and seminars inside and outside the province; organized 20 livestream online sales sessions at cooperatives in the province.
The Provincial Cooperative Union regularly organizes training and guides online sales skills for cooperatives. |
In the context of strong digital transformation, if cooperatives still rely only on traditional consumption channels (such as wholesale markets, traders coming to buy...), it will be difficult to compete and develop in the long term. Therefore, diversifying consumption channels, especially through e-commerce platforms, social networks and livestream sales, is becoming an inevitable trend. These channels help bring products to consumers quickly and conveniently.
Ms. Vu Thi Thu Huong, Vice President of the Provincial Cooperative Union, shared: In the past time, we have proactively organized many training courses on digital transformation for cooperatives, from online sales skills, product photography, how to build fanpages to effective livestreaming. At the same time, we also support cooperatives to access preferential loans to invest in technology, communications, packaging, and improve product quality - decisive factors when entering the digital environment...
