ANTD.VN - The Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) is researching to deploy and support production and business households, cooperatives and enterprises in localities to access the sales model of "Local specialty floor".

Promoting the distribution of local specialties through e-commerce platforms

The model of distributing local specialties through e-commerce platforms is a solution within the National E-commerce Application Program (Go Online) chaired by the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, in cooperation with major e-commerce platforms, providing synchronous solutions to help small and medium-sized enterprises in localities optimize their operating processes and manage sales channels to distribute local specialty products with the best efficiency.

Accordingly, when participating in the "Local Specialty Platform" model, each locality will set up a specialty booth on major e-commerce platforms, which will gather all manufacturing enterprises and products of the province to facilitate management, coordination, operation and distribution of products on e-commerce platforms.

According to the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, putting products on e-commerce platforms for production facilities, cooperatives, and enterprises is still modest and does not really bring the desired value.

Most enterprises and cooperatives producing and trading agricultural products still lack human resources with knowledge of information technology, sales processes, marketing, etc.

In addition, the high cost of sales management from 25% to 45% also makes businesses hesitate to participate in e-commerce platforms. In addition, the problem of warehouses, product preservation, and the process of transporting products from localities to consumers are also concerns of businesses and cooperatives when aiming for e-commerce distribution channels.

In the coming time, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy plans to deploy a "Local Specialty Platform" on e-commerce platforms such as Tiki, Lazada, Shopee and provide training for cooperatives, businesses, etc.
