Through the incident in Dak Lak , Mr. Nguyen Tuc - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that we must do better in mass mobilization work. Because if every citizen is a soldier, bad guys will not have the opportunity to incite and provoke.
Speaking with VietNamNet, Mr. Nguyen Tuc - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that the crime committed by 50 subjects in Dak Lak , causing 11 casualties, was an act that lost all humanity.
“We need to strongly condemn and take appropriate measures to punish those who commit such crimes. Although these subjects are henchmen of the opposition, such barbaric acts of murder cannot be forgiven,” said Mr. Nguyen Tuc.
Through the incident, in just a short time, the police force and the people's help, most of the subjects directly involved in the incident were arrested. According to Mr. Nguyen Tuc, this shows that the people did not listen to the incitement and provocation but instead stood up indignantly to denounce the crime.
Regarding the recent incident in Dak Lak, Mr. Nguyen Tuc, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that local authorities, as well as the Central Highlands provinces, need to pay more attention to the thoughts and aspirations of the people, especially ethnic minorities.
“To care by being closer to the people, to listen more to their questions and concerns. Only then can we see what questions people have, and then we must propagate, mobilize, explain, and at the same time present solutions to higher levels,” Mr. Nguyen Tuc shared.
Mr. Nguyen Tuc said that the recent incident in Dak Lak is a lesson for local authorities as well as provinces and cities across the country in mass mobilization work.
“Uncle Ho has reminded us many times: It is easy to endure a hundred times without people, and difficult to overcome a thousand times with people. Therefore, we must do mass mobilization work very well so that every place can be a fence to protect the country,” said a member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
During the monitoring process in many places, Mr. Tuc realized that the democratic regulations in some places have not been fully implemented by the Party Committee and the government. Especially in remote areas, the people's right to mastery has not been aroused.
“The land in the Central Highlands is so vast, how can we have enough cadres and soldiers to station everywhere? Therefore, we must rely on the people. If each person is a fortress, a soldier, then bad guys will not have the opportunity to incite and provoke,” Mr. Nguyen Tuc emphasized.
Regarding the recent incident in Dak Lak, Mr. Nguyen Tuc, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that security forces need to be further strengthened in strategic areas. “Security agencies, especially communal police forces, are very necessary in remote areas,” Mr. Nguyen Tuc added.
Previously, at around 0:35 on June 11, in Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province, two groups of armed individuals broke into and attacked the police headquarters of two communes: Ea Ktur and Ea Tieu.
The consequences left 11 people injured and dead, including 9 dead: 4 commune police officers, 2 commune officials and 3 civilians, 2 commune police officers were injured; and 3 civilians were held hostage.
On the night of the incident, the Ministry of Public Security quickly increased its professional forces, synchronously deployed measures to surround and block off relevant areas, protect government headquarters, ensure security and safety for people, and arrest the suspect.
On June 16, at the Central Reporters Conference, organized by the Central Propaganda Department, Major General Dang Hong Duc, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security, said that with the spirit of fiercely attacking and capturing the subjects, up to now the police force has arrested and handled over 50 subjects directly involved in the incident.
According to Major General Dang Hong Duc, through initial investigation, most of the arrested subjects were young people who committed the act due to incitement and provocation.
