A bowl of rice, thousands of hearts

Giving gifts to people at the charity program "A bowl of rice, ten thousand hearts".

At the program, the units coordinated to give 150 gifts including rice, instant noodles, fish sauce, soy sauce, cereal milk, each worth 500,000 VND, total value 75 million VND to poor households in Thanh Binh, Thuan Phuoc, Hoa Cuong Bac wards (Hai Chau district).

Lieutenant Colonel Van Duc Truong, Political Commissar of the Da Nang Port Border Guard Command, shared: "We have coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to review poor households and disadvantaged families to have timely support plans. Along with that, the unit proactively mobilizes organizations, individuals, businesses, and philanthropists to support funding, thereby contributing to encouraging and joining hands to support people to overcome difficulties and improve their lives."

Although the gifts are not of much material value, they represent the heart and sharing of the border guards, businesses and philanthropists. Through this, they help disadvantaged families gain more motivation to improve their lives, and the relationship between the army and the people at the border becomes increasingly close and strong.
