After more than 5 years and 6 months of waiting, director Ba Vu said he was assigned to make the film Endless Road , but was removed from the project without receiving any official notice or reason from producer Tran Bao Son and TBS Entertainment.
In a lengthy post, director Ba Vu expressed his frustration with the lack of transparency and disrespect for the contract from his former partner. He said that on November 15, 2019, he signed an official contract with TBS Entertainment, with Tran Bao Son as the legal representative, to direct the film Endless Road , based on a script by Son Pham (Pham Ho Son) and Nguyen Thi Nhu Khanh.

Immediately after the first payment was made on schedule, the entire film crew from Vietnam went to New York on Christmas 2019 to carry out the pre-production phase. However, the project was forced to be postponed when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in early 2020.
Throughout 2020 and early 2021, he and Tran Bao Son continued to cast actors and complete storyboards with artist Vo Anh Vu to prepare for filming in Vietnam. By early 2021, all activities had stopped due to the complicated developments of the pandemic.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, director Ba Vu has continued to wait because he believes the project will be restarted as promised. However, in November 2024, the media simultaneously reported that the film Endless Road was restarted with a new director, Tran Bao Son. What made director Ba Vu upset was that from 2021 to the time the press reported, he had not been contacted, discussed or informed by TBS Entertainment about this change.
“I can confirm 100% that TBS Entertainment, whose legal representative is Mr. Tran Bao Son, has never made any contact with me. They have shown signs of violating the signed contract, without giving any reason or explanation,” director Ba Vu emphasized.
According to the sharing, for a long time from 2023 until now, he has not accepted any other projects to keep his full attention on Endless Road . He said that the contract has strict binding terms, making it impossible for him to unilaterally cancel, because that would violate the law. This has seriously affected his family's life and economy .
“In any profession, you need to consider both emotion and reason. But in this case, I don’t see the minimum respect for both emotion and reason,” he said.
According to director Ba Vu, the teaser filmed in New York in 2019 by himself was shown to partners by Tran Bao Son. He also said that the film has resumed filming since June 14, with a new name, On a New Road , without his participation.
“I do not regret keeping the contract until the last minute, at least that is my respect for the profession. But I will pursue this case to the end with legal measures,” the director affirmed.
Director Ba Vu said he will continue to announce legal developments related to the case in the near future and takes full responsibility for what he announces.

Tien Phong contacted director Tran Bao Son but did not receive a response. Tran Bao Son's update 2 hours ago, he posted a photo of himself pressing the camera to record with the caption: "Every day is a joy".
Tran Bao Son started filming the movie On the New Road on June 14. In November 2024, he posted a casting call looking for actors, the information clearly stated that he was the director, the producer was Timothy Linh Bui, the genre was romance - action, produced by TBS Entertainment.
