Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella

Microsoft invests heavily in AI, introducing the Copilot assistant in 2023, signing a $13 billion cooperation agreement with OpenAI in 2024, creating artificial intelligence development teams.

CEO Satya Nadella has talked about how AI advances will change the way we work and the workforce. For him, AI is an important part of life, both in and out of the office.

In an interview in May, he said he loves podcasts but doesn’t listen to them. Instead, he uploads transcripts of podcasts to the Copilot app on his phone so he can discuss the content with the chatbot on the go.

When he visits Microsoft headquarters in Washington, he also uses Copilot to summarize Outlook and Teams messages. He uses at least 10 custom AI agents from Copilot Studio to help him prepare for meetings and do research.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman

Sam Altman is one of the most famous people in Silicon Valley today thanks to ChatGPT. The company launched the chatbot in late 2022 and quickly became a phenomenon as people asked it for everything from recipes to weight loss. Over the past three years, OpenAI has added more advanced features while expanding its reach globally.

As CEO of OpenAI, it’s no surprise that Altman uses AI to simplify his life. But on a podcast, he revealed that the way he uses AI is pretty boring: processing emails, summarizing text.

It also helped him on his journey to fatherhood. He recently said he has been using AI constantly since welcoming his first child in February. He said he couldn't have raised his child without ChatGPT.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang

Another CEO who regularly uses AI is Jensen Huang, the boss of semiconductor company Nvidia. At a conference in late May, he said he uses AI to learn new concepts.

“I use it as a tutor every day,” he says. “In areas that are completely new to me, I’ll have it explain it to me as if I were a 12-year-old, then work my way up to a ‘PhD’ level over time.”

AI's ability to quickly collect, analyze and interact with information will help bridge the technology gap, according to Mr. Huang.

In 2024, he said he uses Perplexity and ChatGPT almost every day for research. From a large topic, he can ask many specific questions to understand it better.

Zillow CEO Jeremy Wacksman

Real estate technology companies like Zillow also rely on AI to grow. The company applies AI search on its website to help users use the website effectively.

CEO Jeremy Wacksman uses AI to capture the content of meetings he didn’t attend or summarize documents. He asks ChatGPT to act as him and summarize things from his perspective, getting personalized results. It’s more valuable than trying to read a meeting transcript or watch a video .

At Zillow, there are so-called “AI days” where employees demonstrate how they apply AI in their work.
