This spending level is stipulated in the school's internal spending regulations, the 13th month income (also known as Tet bonus) for civil servants and employees has a general level of 20 million VND/person.
This bonus applies to all school officials and employees, members of the School Board with a working period of one year or more. This bonus does not apply to daily or seasonal contracts.

In 2023, this school will also apply a Lunar New Year bonus of 20 million VND/person to all employees.
The Tet bonus policy of "working like a principal" applied by Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade from 2022 has received consensus from employees.
This is also the first university in the country to announce the 2024 Lunar New Year bonus.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade also announced a Lunar New Year holiday for students lasting nearly 1 month (from January 29 to February 25, 2024 - from December 19, Quy Mao year to January 16, Giap Thin year).
According to the school’s explanation, this long break allows students, staff, lecturers and workers to have time to rest and recharge; those who plan to return to their hometowns avoid the peak days before Tet, which is both costly and causes traffic congestion.
