The principal of Saigon Pearl International School has just sent a letter to parents, stating that it will end its operations at the end of this school year. The last day of school is June 19 and the last working day of the school is July 19.

The school is facing a challenging and changing environment, the announcement said, with the school working to adapt to declining enrolment, but current enrolment numbers are much lower than anticipated.

“The school has tried its best but the difficult situation has not improved, so it is no longer possible to continue operating. Therefore, we must accept the sad truth that the school cannot continue to operate in a way that can ensure the quality of teaching, the range of services, the facilities and the richness of the learning programs,” the principal’s letter stated.

In addition, the school is making the announcement at this time so that parents and students have more time to adapt to the situation before the school year ends.

The school principal also affirmed that the school's top priority at this time is to support parents and students to adapt to the transition process. The school is committed to supporting all students who transfer and enroll at the sister school, International School of Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC). When students transfer to ISHCMC, they will have the same tuition fee for 2 years, starting from August 2025.

Saigon Pearl International School was established in 2010, teaching 2 levels of kindergarten and primary school according to the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The school's tuition fees range from 243-572 million VND/year. The school currently has about 200 students.
