Lam Dong province is urgently establishing another Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School.

To meet the educational needs of the children of officials and employees from Binh Thuan and Dak Nong (formerly) who work in Da Lat, Lam Dong province decided to establish Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School.

On the afternoon of September 8th, Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting with departments, agencies, and Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat City, to review the progress of establishing Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School, aiming to alleviate the overcrowding of students in schools in Da Lat City after the province's merger.

Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting to promote the establishment of a new school.

Ms. Le Thi Bich Lien, Director of the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training, stated that Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School was established at 39 Tran Phu Street, Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat. This is the former site of Lam Dong College of Economics and Technology, Anh Dao Kindergarten, and the Provincial People's Court.

The newly established Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School will accommodate 2,050 students in 50 classes; of which, it is expected to have 20 primary school classes and 30 secondary school classes. Approximately 87 staff and teachers will be needed.

Ms. Le Thi Bich Lien, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong Province, reported on the establishment of Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School.

The Department of Education and Training requests that relevant departments and agencies coordinate in the allocation of personnel, appraisal of repair plans, integration of fire prevention and fighting measures, and procurement of equipment in a synchronized and timely manner, ensuring that the new system operates effectively in the initial period of operation.

Based on the above situation, the leaders of the Department of Construction, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Provincial People's Court, and the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat City, all agreed that the establishment of Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School is necessary. To date, the land handover process has been completed.

Mr. Nguyen Minh suggested that the relevant units coordinate synchronously in the establishment of Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School.

Mr. Nguyen Minh requested the Department of Education and Training to urgently develop a plan and provide specific guidance in accordance with the law to ensure the smooth operation of the system. He noted that the plan should clearly and accurately outline a method for surveying student data and supplementing teachers. He also requested that Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat, and relevant departments and agencies coordinate their efforts to ensure the establishment of Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School proceeds on schedule by April 18, 2026. Therefore, all units need to act urgently out of responsibility for the rights and interests of the students.
