This marks a significant milestone in the cooperation agreement between FPT and HUST regarding the specialized training program for Automotive Engineering, aiming to train and develop a high-quality engineering workforce to meet the strong growth of the automotive sector globally. Simultaneously, the commissioning of the laboratory further concretizes the cooperation commitments between the two parties in strengthening the connection between academic training and the practical needs of businesses. The ceremony was attended by representatives from both organizations.
The laboratory, a well-invested facility by FPT worth 1.4 billion VND, serves as a space for in-depth learning, practice, and research for students and faculty.
Within the framework of the cooperation, FPT has sponsored a system of equipment and modern technology platforms and solutions that are being directly applied in projects with global customers. This system includes development boards, the AUTOSAR training software platform developed by FPT (MaazEdu), along with computer systems and specialized software licenses. All equipment is adjusted and configured to effectively serve training, practice, and research in core technologies of the modern automotive industry, such as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and digital cockpit systems.
The training content is implemented according to AUTOSAR standards, using C and C++ embedded programming languages. These are key platforms in the development of next-generation vehicles, anticipating the Software-Defined Vehicle trend, where software plays a central role and determines the competitiveness of businesses.
Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Phong Dien, Vice Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, emphasized the role of the cooperation model between universities and businesses in bridging the gap between training and the practical needs of the automotive industry. He also highly appreciated FPT's partnership in investing in facilities, training programs, and sharing practical experience, which is expected to contribute to improving the quality of high-quality engineering training in Vietnam.
