FPT announces investment in 5 strategic technologies.

(Chinhphu.vn) - FPT Group has just announced investments in five strategic technologies: Quantum AI, Cyber ​​Security, UAV, Data, and railway technology. This is an important step for FPT with the goal of mastering core technologies and building a high-quality workforce for national technological sovereignty.

FPT will become a hub for the development of top technology talents in Vietnam.

FPT Group also announced the establishment of a Strategic Technology Steering Committee, comprising five units: Quantum AI and Cyber ​​Security Institute (QACI), FPT UAV, FPT Railway Technology (FMT), FPT Cyber ​​Security, and DC5.

The FPT Strategic Technology Steering Committee, chaired by FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh, with CEO Nguyen Van Khoa as the permanent vice-chairman, and other members of the Group's executive board, is responsible for leading and managing the implementation of strategic technology directions throughout the Group.

According to FPT Group Chairman Truong Gia Binh, the world is entering a profound technological power shift: artificial intelligence automates knowledge, semiconductor chips are becoming the foundation of all economic sectors, cybersecurity determines digital sovereignty , and quantum computing will usher in a new era of computing.

FPT Cyber ​​Security will focus on investing in research and developing a cybersecurity ecosystem.

To achieve that, no resource is more valuable than people. No competitive advantage is more sustainable than people. No power is greater when Vietnamese intelligence is placed in the right mission. FPT will become a hub for the development of Vietnam's leading technology talents, working together to solve national problems. FPT will be a training ground for technological geniuses.

In the field of quantum technology and AI , FPT established the Quantum AI & Cyber ​​Security Research Institute (QACI), focusing on key activities including research and development of solutions; training PhDs and senior experts; and international cooperation. This is one of the first quantum research centers of a Vietnamese enterprise to date. FPT will invest $100 million in the Quantum AI & Cyber ​​Security Research Institute.

In the UAV sector, FPT has an estimated market size of $10 billion by 2035. Recently, FPT has actively promoted the formation and development of a low-level economy in Vietnam by collaborating with technology, finance, and aviation organizations to establish the Low-Level Economy Alliance, chaired by FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa; and fostering cooperation between the Japan Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Industry Promotion Association (JUIDA) and the Vietnam Aerospace and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Network (AUVS VN).

In the field of railway technology, FPT has FPT Railway Mobility Technology. Prior to this, FPT had outstanding achievements globally in the areas of design, manufacturing, automotive software, semiconductors, IoT, SCADA, and supporting the operation of large-scale systems running continuously 24/7 for many industries requiring high safety standards such as aviation, energy, and oil and gas.

In the data sector , FPT DC5 aims to build a "true-complete-clean-live" data platform, delivering better value for the nation and a better experience for customers.

In the field of cybersecurity , FPT Cyber ​​Security will focus on investing in research and developing a cybersecurity ecosystem, aiming for a safe, autonomous, and sustainable digital environment.
